How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your business? What are your biggest challenges right now with this “new normal” and in this ever-changing world we are in now? Are you having problems getting the PPE items that you need to keep yourself, funeral staff, and the families you serve safe and protected?
Do you need help training your employees in safety, best practices, streamlining workflows, and efficiency?
Is your business declining and do you need help in redefining your strategic direction, initiatives, and new goals in your business?
As business owners and managers, we are forced more than ever to re-examine how we do things. Why do we do what we do? Is it still relevant? If not, how do we change to make it relevant?
We cannot keep doing the same things and expect our business and circumstances to improve. Everything, from the way we get our supplies, to scheduling and training our employees, has changed and continues to change daily.
We must stay informed but with today's news and media frenzy, it is difficult to know who to believe, who to trust, and what to do with this information.
So here are a few things that we can all do:
Stay informed by reading, listening, and watching all news, especially world news.
Make sure you understand what is going on in other parts of the nation and world where this virus is concerned.
Do not just go by posts that you see online or what politicians are saying.
Make sure that you are involved and working together with communities, government agencies, and associations for solutions that are acceptable to all.
Find out what you can do to help.
Keep staff and your families informed without using scare tactics.
Ensure that you, your funeral home staff, and families have the necessary equipment and resources for everyone's protection.
Together, we can continue to provide meaningful services to those in our communities that have suffered a loss of a loved one while caring for the safety of all.
