Parents of your students place the care and safety of their children in the good hands of your profession. We are all equally responsible for ensuring the good health and wellbeing of all.
In today's news and media frenzy, it is difficult to know whom to believe, whom to trust, and what to do with this information.
So here are a few things that we can all do:

Stay informed by reading, listening, and watching all news, especially world news.

Make sure you understand what is going on in other parts of the nation and world where this virus is concerned.

Do not just go by posts that you see online or what politicians are saying.

Make sure that you are involved and working together with the schools, daycare facilities, and program directors for solutions that are acceptable to all.

Find out what you can do to help.

Keep children informed without using scare tactics.

Ensure that you and the schools, recreation centers, daycares, etc., have the necessary equipment and resources for everyone's protection.
Together, we can ensure that our children continue to grow both academically and socially and that you, providing that knowledge and stimulation are safe and confident to continue following your passion. Collectively, we will beat this and become better prepared for any future crises.
